“The Peaceful Orange Blossoms” is a kid’s  book written by our very own Early Childhood Studies alum Bahaa Zouki (Class of 2021) – and she has two more books coming soon! 📚

“As an early childhood educator, reading a book is the key to start something, to ignite children’s curiosity…books are inspiring,” said Bahaa on why she wanted to write children’s literature.

The book is inspired by her beloved motherland of Lebanon; the orange blossoms’ sweet scent reminds her of the time she spent in her grandfather’s garden as a child.

Her upcoming  books, “The Proud Olive Tree” and “The Friendly Cedar Branch” are also inspired by her grandfather’s olive trees and Lebanon’s cedar trees, which is the country’s symbol of resilience that’s also depicted on its flag.
