BREAKING: Chicago Cubs 3B Alex Bregman has been suspended 80 games for violating MLB’s PED policy after testing positive for Dingerbol, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

The random test reportedly came after Bregman launched 30 home runs during Chicago’s 122-6 demolition of the Walgreens Nationals yesterday. Apparently MLB decided a 30-homer game warranted a quick trip to the testing room.

The suspension is a massive blow for the Cubs as they battle for the NL Central and a World Card spot.
