When I heard about Jorge Messi’s passing, it hit me deeply—because I lost my own father at the exact same age Leo did. Having walked through that same path of grief, I wanted to create something warm for him.
I chose a photo of young Jorge with little Leo, set against his childhood home. I used bright, golden colors instead of black and white, because a father’s memory should always be honored with warmth and light. ☀️🎨
It took me 40 hours and hundreds of millions of sand grains to complete this 3D frame. Sand represents time, but love and memories stay forever.
I created this artwork to give it directly to Leo. I truly hope it brings him a little warmth during this time.
