## Caption

Her old school had a $12 million wellness centre. 
Beautiful building. 
Didn’t matter.

Because a room full of good intentions doesn’t help if the people in front of your child don’t understand what they’re actually looking at. 

She wasn’t being difficult. 
Her body was in full alarm. 
Nobody there could see the difference.

We moved her. 
Different school, same kid, completely different response. 

They didn’t have a fraction of the “wellness” facilities. 

What they had was patience, and people willing to go slowly with her and understand instead of pushing her through the door.

That was the whole shift. 
Not the building. 

The people in it.

If you’re standing in a hallway wondering why nothing’s working despite everyone “trying,” it might not be your child. 

It might be that the approach around them was never built for what’s actually happening in their body.

Food for thought.
