Starting the day with beautiful views over D.C. ✨☀️ 

intercontinentaldcwharf’s rooftop infinity pool might be the best-kept secret at The Wharf, it runs the entire length of the deck with Washington Monument views on one side and the river on the other. Sunrise to sunset, this is where I’d live if I could.

To make this short stay a memorable one, we checked into the most gorgeous suite here 🎷 — genuinely spacious enough to get lost in. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a view straight down to the marina, and that quiet, moody-luxe design that makes you not want to leave the room.

But before exploring the city, we stopped for lunch at willowsongdc, tucked right inside the hotel 🌿 I’d heard their sangria was a must-try, so naturally it was first on my list, and walking through that flower-draped entrance felt like its own little moment.

The menu leans into Mid-Atlantic flavors sourced from local farms, fisheries, wineries, and distilleries — think caviar toast and burnt honey sweet potatoes with all the textures. Sitting right on the waterfront is basically the perfect excuse to slow down before diving into D.C.
