A lioness was rescued from a 13-metre-deep well in Kukaswada, Gujarat, after a nearly two-hour operation by the Gujarat Forest Department.
 
Forest officials safely lifted the animal from the well before taking her to a nearby rescue centre for examination. She was later returned to the wild.
