Brandy is officially lending her iconic voice to the new A Different World theme song for Netflix’s upcoming reboot and we are HERE for it! 😭🙌🏾

But before Brandy… there was Dawnn Lewis. ❤️

Dawnn, who played Jaleesa on the original series, co-wrote the iconic theme song… the same song generations of us grew up singing! 

And here’s the part you may not know: Dawnn Lewis never got to sing the theme on the show. Over the years, the song was performed by powerhouse artists including Phoebe Snow, Aretha Franklin and Boyz II Men.

Now, decades later, Brandy is adding her voice to the legacy. 🥹❤️
