Ahead of another billion-dollar drawing Wednesday night, a store in Edison saw sales pick up — for good reason. The store recently sold a winning ticket worth more than $200 million, and lightning struck twice when they sold another ticket worth $5 million.⁠

On a state level, New Jersey has been on a something of a hot streak. There have been at least six Mega Millions winners since 2018, including a billion-dollar prize. There have also been five PowerBall winners over the same span.⁠
