Sephora is officially expanding into Israel & the announcement is already causing controversy‼️😳💄🇮🇱

Sephora is officially entering Israel for the first time, with six stores and five in-store boutiques set to begin opening on August 20. 

The first locations are expected at Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv, Malha Mall in Jerusalem and Ayalon Mall, with more locations to follow.

For now, the rollout is being treated as a pilot and will mainly feature Sephora Collection products. 

Major Sephora brands including Rare Beauty, Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury will not initially be available, although a successful launch could eventually bring Sephora’s wider lineup to Israel.

Israel’s official X account welcomed the beauty giant with a post saying, “Welcome to Israel, Sephora!” while acknowledging the move could spark backlash.

The announcement is already drawing strong reactions online as international brands continue to face pressure and boycott campaigns over where they choose to operate.
