I took this photo as the new NBC Universal neon sign was being installed atop 10 Universal City Plaza on the Universal Studios Lot.

2004 marked a major chapter in Universal history as NBC and Universal came together to form NBC Universal. This photo captured a small piece of that transition as it was actually happening. The company’s new identity being installed high above Universal City.

More than 20 years later, it’s pretty amazing to look back at moments like this that I happened to document.
