His father survived the Holocaust because of one rotten potato. Decades later, daniellubetzky built a $5 billion company around the idea behind it.

At 16, he moved from Mexico City to Texas and started selling watches just to make money.

He later left a promising law career to build PeaceWorks, bringing Israeli and Palestinian producers together through business.

Then came KIND.

In 2004, Lubetzky invested $100,000 and went store to store handing out samples himself.

By 2012, KIND was doing $120 million in sales. In 2020, Mars bought the company for $5 billion.

The name was never just branding.

It came from one small act that helped save his father’s life.
