There are some stories that deserve to be told, remembered and celebrated. The story of the Reggae Girlz is one of them. 🇯🇲

For generations of Jamaicans, the Reggae Girlz have represented resilience, pride and the unmistakable spirit of Jamaica. Their journey has also inspired a new generation to fall in love with women’s football.

In 2019, Jamaica made history as the first Caribbean nation to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Four years later, they returned to the world stage and made history again — reaching the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and becoming the first Caribbean nation to qualify for consecutive Women’s World Cups.

They did it against the odds, competing with the world’s best and showing exactly what Jamaican women can achieve when given the opportunity to shine.

Now, as we await the documentary that will bring their historic 2023 journey to the screen, we’re reminded of the importance of preserving these stories.

Because history is more than results. It is the people, the sacrifice, the belief and the moments that make us fall in love with the game.

The Reggae Girlz have given Jamaica countless moments to be proud of — and their story is one that deserves to be celebrated. 🇯🇲💚🖤💛
