"Almost 4 years later and I still have at least one moment every single day where I am so aware of how happy I am to be here. 😭 When I was diagnosed we had just lost two close family friends to breast cancer. Honestly, I didn’t even know long term survival was possible. It was hard for me to imagine that I would make it out on the other side. Am I on the other side? Of chemotherapy, yes. Of cancer… forever? I really really hope so. But what I can say for certain is I have such a renewed sense of gratitude for life and all the days I feel healthy, strong, and happy. At first it’s moment by moment, then day by day, then week by week. It takes time, but time does heal. Be patient with yourself.
