I see a reminder of how quickly life can change.

Before I met my wife, I felt completely broken.

I was lying in a hospital bed after one of the darkest chapters of my life, working with my sponsor, doing step work, and trying to become a better man.

Then I got a message from someone I didn’t even know.

We started talking, and we never stopped.

We talked every day. We fell asleep on FaceTime almost every night.

And somewhere in those conversations, she gave me something I didn’t even realize I had lost.

Hope.

She made me feel appreciated.

She made me feel wanted.

She made me believe in myself again.

Looking back, I truly believe God placed her in my life at exactly the right time.

A stranger became my best friend.

My best friend became the woman I fell in love with.

And a year later, I was down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with me.

Sometimes your greatest blessing shows up when you’re living through your darkest chapter. ❤️
