## Caption

Numbers don’t fall from the sky. Someone decides what to collect and what to ignore, how to clean it, and how to frame it. Every one of those steps is a choice, and choices can be bent.

I love this work because there is always a new version of the same trick. 

This is also why data literacy is non negotiable. When people cannot read data critically, they cannot tell the difference between a number that is true and a number that was built to look true. And that gap is exactly where manipulation lives.
