Looking back on two memorable weeks of training at our Joffrey Akron Summer Intensive! Under the artistic direction of Colleen Barnes colleenbarnes10, dancers came together to strengthen their technique, expand their versatility, and prepare for the season ahead through focused, multi-genre training.⁠

While our summer intensive dancers had the opportunity to train on the University of Akron campus, the university also holds an important connection to Joffrey Ballet School beyond the summer. Through our partnership with the University of Akron, dancers enrolled in our year-round Pre-Professional Trainee Program have the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance, earning their degree from the University of Akron while continuing their professional training with Joffrey Ballet School.⁠

As we close out our summer in Ohio, we extend our sincere gratitude to Artistic Director Colleen Barnes, our dedicated faculty and staff, and every dancer who brought their commitment and passion into the studios.
