🚵‍♂️🌲 NEW BLACK DIAMOND MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL: A new backcountry mountain bike path called the Jack Hammer Trail officially opened at Oak Mountain State Park. It offers a backwoods wilderness experience right here in Birmingham. Get the dirt ⬇️

⭐️ About this NEW trail:
🚲 1 mile long + black diamond difficulty
️ 🛠 Built and maintained by the Birmingham Urban Mountain Pedalers bump_mtb_official
📍 Location: Near King's Chair, crossing the recently purchased Forever Wild Belcher tract addition into Oak Mountain State Park. 
⛰️ The experience features challenging topography and stunning backcountry views. 
🤝 Made possible by Innovate Alabama and the Shelby County Commission, making it one of the largest trail investments in the state.

⭐️ Trail Access: 
🗺️ 🚲 Park at North Trailhead ➡️ 3-mile ride to Jack Hammer Trailhead ➡️️ Bike to the trailhead ➡️ Begin at Red Road Trail, turn left onto the Orange/Blue Connector at the top of the climb, follow it to the Blue Trail, turn left, and continue until you see the signed Jack Hammer trailhead entrance on your right

With about 500 members they build and take care of trails throughout Central Alabama, including Oak Mountain State Park, Tannehill Historical State Park, Coldwater Mountain and much more
