Comment “DRIVEN” and I’ll show you how to lose hormonal weight during perimenopause without starving yourself or over-exercising!

Hormonal changes do happen during this stage of life, but they’re only one piece of the puzzle. After working with over 1,000 women, these are the 5 most common reasons I see behind stubborn weight gain in that phase:

1️⃣ Your stress response is dysregulated
Chronic stress can disrupt your cortisol rhythm, affect blood sugar regulation, increase cravings, and make fat loss more difficult.

2️⃣ You’re losing muscle mass
After 35, women naturally begin to lose muscle if they don’t actively maintain it. Less muscle means a lower metabolic rate, making it easier to gain weight.

3️⃣ Your blood sugar is less stable.
Fluctuating estrogen and progesterone can affect insulin sensitivity. Without enough protein, fiber, and movement, blood sugar swings become more common.

4️⃣ You’re under-fueling during the day.
Skipping meals, relying on coffee, or eating too little often leads to overeating later, unstable blood sugar, and more stress on the body.

5️⃣ You’re using the same strategies that worked 10 years ago.
Hours of cardio and eating less may have worked in your 20s, but during perimenopause your body often responds better to strength training, adequate protein, quality sleep, and stress management.
