Look them right in the eye: CHS Football is fully focused right from Day One. 

Here’s an eyeful of images from the Crusaders’ opening day of practice, through the lens of outstanding CHS Digital Media photographer Dean Gracie ’27.

This first practice began with an address from head coach Kraig Kurzanski ’84 (watch the video posted following Monday’s workout) and continued with players driving through drills on Tripi Field. 

The 2026 season kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 when canisiushsfb takes on Section VI power Health Sciences at SUNY Erie in Amherst in wnyathletics’ Dick Gallagher Kickoff Classic.
