I’m so glad my dad taught me
and my brother early in life about the importance of #delayedgratification.

But MORE IMPORTANTLY he taught us that there is a delay between our decisions + actions and the impact + consequences of our decisions + actions.

Sometimes that delay means patience to see the payoff of disciplined effort.

Other times that delay means we will eventually pay a price for lack of discipline.

Every decision has a consequences. Every action has an impact. Don’t equate the delay of consequences with the absence of consequences.
