Dave King (Builder, Hockey) and Andrew Spagrud (Athlete, Basketball) became the latest Huskies to be inducted into the Canada West Hall of Fame, announced as members of the Class of 2026.⁠
⁠
Dave King remains the only head coach of the Huskie Men's Hockey program to have led his team to a National Championship. A University Cup champion in 1983, he also led the Huskies to three conference titles (1981, 1982, 1983) and in 1980 was named the CIAU Coach of the Year. He continued to carry on the Huskie legacy as a member of several international teams, including the Canadian Olympic from 1984-1992, culminating with a bronze medal finish in 1992.⁠
⁠
A three-time All-Canadian and four-time All-Star, Andrew Spagrud remains one of the greatest athletes to appear on a U SPORTS basketball court. Donning green & white from 2003 to 2008, he remains the conference record holder for career points (2,181) and double-doubles (78) while ranking top five in nearly every other major statistical category.⁠
