Is it time for a homecoming? 👀

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially making a return to the U.K. and there’s one big question, why now?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 before relocating to the U.S., following years of intense media scrutiny and amid their desire to build a life outside the constraints of royal life.

Now, six years later, the couple are planning to establish a new base in the U.K. with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The timing has raised plenty of questions, especially following the family’s reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla in July. It marked the first time Charles had seen Archie and Lilibet since 2022.

Could the reunion have played a role? While that hasn’t been confirmed, other factors being discussed include the children’s education, Harry’s continued ties to the U.K. and a desire to be closer to family.

Security has also become part of the conversation, but returning to the U.K. does not automatically restore taxpayer-funded police protection for the Sussexes.

One thing is clear: this is a return to the U.K., NOT a return to royal duties.

So, is this the beginning of a new chapter for Harry and Meghan or something more?
