The former owner of Butera’s, an Italian restaurant with three Long Island locations, is suing the new owner, alleging he stopped monthly payments in February on the nearly $2 million purchase, a new lawsuit shows.

The suit was filed by Martin Butera, who along with other members of his family, had owned the traditional family-run Italian restaurant chain since 1991.
