#Lions TE Sam LaPorta’s status for Week 1 is UNCERTAIN as he deals with a hip injury that recently flared up, per HC Dan Campbell.

Detroit is letting LaPorta rest. While Campbell doesn’t believe it’s a long-term issue, he couldn’t guarantee he’ll be ready for the season opener.

“I feel like we’ll be OK, but I don’t know,” Campbell said.

LaPorta is also coming off back surgery, so the Lions are being cautious with their star tight end.
