Iceland 🇮🇸 - MUST-DO activity! 🍴

While planning our trip, we found this food tour on GetYourGuide and decided to join to explore traditional Icelandic foods, local flavours, and the stories behind them.

And yes... Ajay tried fermented shark!
Known as hákarl, this traditional Icelandic dish is made from Greenland shark. The shark is fermented and cured because the fresh meat contains naturally occurring toxins that make it unsafe to eat. The traditional fermentation process makes it edible.

The smell is... very strong 😂 and the taste is definitely an experience! It’s one of those Icelandic foods
that you probably have to try at least once just to say you did.

Along the tour, we also got to try other traditional Icelandic foods and learn about the history and traditions behind them.
