JBL says Avery Styles did nothing wrong, and WWE should turn the whole argument into a storyline.

Speaking on Something To Wrestle, JBL said the ring crew debate comes down to one thing: "It's all about communication." If a promoter tells wrestlers up front they need help setting up, that is one thing. Springing it on someone at the arena is another, and JBL said that is coming from a man who broke in through the territories, had a thousand matches before WWE, and set up rings and chairs himself.

He agreed with Brian Pillman Jr. that none of it belonged online: "Why in the world are you taking the chance of burying this kid?"

And he sees an opportunity being wasted: "Hell yeah, make a storyline out of it." JBL laid out the pitch, with Avery as the babyface, a heel promoter, and AJ Styles brought in. "I think there's money you can make with this."

AJ retired in January and goes into the Hall of Fame class of 2026, but has said the one thing that would bring him back is tagging with his sons.
