"We needed to stop and rethink. We couldn’t just go with this flow that we were being forced into. We’re not a machine. We’re three human beings who really care about what they make and want to put that time in. We wanted to restructure who we were and the music we were writing. A lot of that became taking time to make sure these songs were playable as a sweaty band, with the amps turned on, before we even set foot in the studio."
