Congratulations to our administrators at RedLine and the Youth Art Mentoring Program/EPIC Arts Program for being awarded a three-year supporting grant from the Caring for Denver Foundation!

♦️Youth Art Mentoring (YAM) is an afterschool education program offered through RedLine Contemporary Art Center engaging students (grades 4-12) at two Title 1 schools in the Five Points neighborhood: Whittier ECE-8 School and Bruce Randolf.

♦️RedLine will connect 72 students through YAM and 270 students through EPIC Arts with an artist mentor, art therapist, and wellness professional to encourage creative self-expression, enhance social-emotional learning, improve mental health, and promote community advocacy.

♦️Once a month, our licensed therapist guides students through engaging activities to build self awareness and stress-reducing skills for healthier relationships, coping with familial trauma, and self advocacy.

♦️As the needs of our youth have evolved, YAM and EPIC Arts mentors/artists will receive training through a youth mental health/well-being retreat facilitated by our licensed mental health clinician, along with trainers who specialize in trauma informed care, healthy relationships, and substance abuse prevention.

We’re so excited for this ongoing support, and to showcase our students’ work at the annual Youth Art Mentoring exhibition next month!
