researchers at the university of tokyo actually built this, it’s called lunavity, a drone backpack with rotors that fire the second you jump and throw you upward, so instead of clearing two feet you’re clearing six

and the part that got me, it slows your fall on the way down too, so you float back instead of slamming into the floor, like someone quietly turned gravity down

now picture it, rescue workers reaching higher, athletes training with way less pounding on their knees, or honestly just the feeling of being weightless for a few seconds

still early research, nothing you can buy yet, but the concept alone is kind of unreal
