Meet PC ‘25 member Samee McDaniel, our lifelong Phi Mu!💌

“Phi Mu has always been a big part of my life. My mom is an initiated member and served on the National Council, so I was blessed to have Phi Mu’s values instilled in me from day one. Growing up, I had the opportunity to attend Convention and visit the Philomathean Room at the Cannonball House, experiences that helped me understand the rich history and sisterhood of Phi Mu long before I became a member myself. Phi Mu had already blessed me in so many ways, long before I was initiated.
When my sister joined Phi Mu, it only made me more excited for the day it would be my turn. Coming through recruitment at Louisiana Tech was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Going Phi Mu was easy because I saw the same values, kindness, and genuine sisterhood that I had grown up admiring. I am forever indebted to this sisterhood and all it has given me. Phi Mu is forever, and I can’t wait to continue building lifelong bonds rooted in Love, Honor, and Truth.
If you know me, you know about my love for ladybugs! That love actually started with Phi Mu. The ladybug is an unofficial mascot of Phi Mu, and because of that, it has been a part of my life since I was young. Over the years, I’ve embraced it as part of my everyday life.
Ladybugs symbolize love, which beautifully reflects one of Phi Mu’s core values. Because of that, they serve as a special reminder of the sisterhood, friendships, and memories that Phi Mu has brought into my life”🤍🤍
