BATTLE OF EDMONTON. WEEK 3.
Forget easing into the season.
This one has some heat behind it.
The Edmonton Huskies enter Week 3 at 2–0, but Sunday’s 38–28 victory over the Winnipeg Rifles was a reminder that nothing in the PFC is going to be handed to them.
The Huskies got the win, protected home field and kept the undefeated start alive — but they were forced to battle for it.
And across town?
The Wildcats just delivered one of the biggest statements of the young CJFL season.
After a tough opening week, the Wildcats responded by going into Saskatoon and knocking off the defending Canadian Bowl champion Hilltops, 28–22.
That gets your attention.
So Saturday night isn’t just another game on the schedule.
It’s the Battle of Edmonton.
Two Edmonton programs.
Two teams coming off wins.
One team protecting an undefeated start.
One team coming to JP Bowl after proving it can knock off anybody.
And when that ball is kicked off?
Throw the records out.
Veterans like 5th-year Kieran Sherman know exactly what rivalry football means.
