There is a new exhibition that has opened in Old Sacramento just a short distance away from the Sacramento History Museum! Discover the unexpected side of nature at Death by Natural Causes at The Paperworks building. You may never look at nature the same way again. Death by Natural Causes is a touring exhibition created by the Houston Museum of Natural Science along with Stage 9 Exhibits. In this video, Channey makes a letterpress print for the new exhibit using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The print states “Death by Natural Causes The Paperworks”in 30 point Caslon font. The image of a horse-drawn hearse is from a woodcut, made in the 1890s, from the Lewis Winter Collection.
