From Miami, researchers at FIU’s Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy built a live, public dashboard tracking illegal fishing across Latin America and the Caribbean in near-real-time. It uses AI to flag vessels going dark, ship-to-ship meetings, and fishing inside protected waters.
 
It supports U.S. Southern Command, Argentina’s Naval Prefecture, other U.S. agencies and just got a major refresh.
