Before Spotify, Apple Music and even the days of walking into a record store, there was Columbia House. The mail order music club that brought records and tapes straight to your mailbox.

Their legendary deals became one of the most recognizable music offers of its time. You’d circle your picks in the catalog, mail in your order and wait for that package of music to show up at your door.

For an entire generation, Columbia House was how you discovered new music, built your collection and probably learned the hard way that the fine print mattered.
