Arlo requested chicken nuggets, chips and beans before taking his ADHD medication—so that’s exactly what he had.

When you’re parenting a neurodivergent child, safe foods and preferences can change weekly or even daily. My priority is making sure he eats before his medication, not creating a breakfast that strangers on the internet approve of.

Some will call me a bad mum. I call it choosing my battles and doing what works for my child.
