Randy wasn't having it, but at least I got one front left tire out of the deal 🛞. I probably would not have even got that if he also knew I didn't plan to pay him until three months from now.

😷 Believe it or not, that is how and when health insurance companies pay physicians for multiple procedures done on the same day or under the same anesthetic for surgery (that is, if they pay anything at all).

🙋‍♀️ Do you think this is acceptable?

👉 This is exactly why I don't rely on insurance reimbursements for my private orthopedic surgery practice.  It's only a small portion of my overall revenue.  I try to have multiple streams of revenue outside of professional fees from insurance companies, which range from surgery center facility fees to medical legal work (including workers compensation) to products sold in the office to consulting services to dispensing medications.
