🚨 Sidi Rapid News ➡️ Deegan, Cooper, Star Yamaha out for MXoN 🛑

With a Team USA announcement from the AMA expected this weekend at Ironman Raceway, real information is coming to light. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing announced today that it will not participate in the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, which means neither Haiden Deegan nor Justin Cooper will take 450 slots on Team USA, and also team 250 riders like Kayden Minear, of Australia, won’t participate in the event, either. (New Zealand isn’t racing the event this year, so this doesn’t impact Cole Davies, but if the team did race, he would also not be participating).

Star Racing has been requesting $25,000 for bike and staff rentals when its riders participate in other international events, like WSX, Paris or the AUS-X Open. In the past, the team had not charged for MXoN participation and often Team USA has featured two Yamaha riders. We hear that this year Star is asking for the bike rental fee for MXoN, and the ask is more than MXoN teams are able to afford.

Who will race for Team USA for 2026? We hope to find out this weekend.
