The increase of fascism across the United States and the rise of fatphobic, pro-skinny propaganda might seem like they belong on different timelines, but they both, in fact, go hand-in-hand. 

The infatuation over weight loss, #SkinnyTok, and the onslaught on GLP-1 propaganda is white supremacy laying it out clearly: As we descend further into a fascist, authoritarian regime, the control over how our bodies look will continue to be a tool of how these oppressive systems are upheld.
