I have no photos of me wearing shorts when I was a kid 😔

That’s because I almost died drinking sulphuric acid when I was 2.

I didn’t drink it (thankfully)
But it spilled all over my legs.

I got a second life. What a blessing for a 2-year-old kid.

I went through 4-5 plastic surgeries, was given steroids that made me obese, struggled with depression, and low confidence in my teens and early 20s.

I was so embarrassed by my looks that I didn’t wear shorts for the first 30 years of my life.

30 years… is a long time.

The 2 year old kid in me didn’t expect any of this to happen.

For a very long time, I thought WHY it happened to me instead of feeling Grateful for the life that I got.

Fast forward to when I started creating content, the same fear crept in front of the camera, again.

The embarrassment
The shame
The “what will people think”.

In Game of Thrones, Bran asks his father, Ned Stark…

“Can a man still be brave if he’s afraid?”
To which he answers, “That is the only time a man can be brave.”

And the funny thing is, the same kid who was embarrassed to wear shorts in front of 1 stranger, started creating content with shorts in front of millions.

For people this could be normal but for me I was just a kid who was fighting his damn fears.

For the first time in my life, I felt brave.

And can I tell you something? No one cared.

I realized 2 things.
- There are only 3-4 things that shape your life, and almost all of them are tragedies.
- And second, it was all in my head…

How many times do we punish ourselves because of the traumas from our pasts, or the way we look, judging ourselves and believing that’s how everyone sees us?

But that’s not true.

This life is way too short for other people’s opinion of you and your own, my friend.

Live it and be grateful that it happened.

My second life had started when I was 2, but it took 30 years for me to realize it.

Don’t make it your story.

Sending you love ❤️
