In Episode 3 of The Playbook, I sit down with Texas Senior Associate AD for Creative Development Caten Hyde to talk about his path from creating content and working behind the scenes at TCU to leading Texas and helping orchestrate some of the biggest moments in college sports.

We get into the transition from creator to leader, managing the expectations that come with working at Texas, building and developing creative teams, what he looks for when hiring, and why having a high “figure-it-out factor” matters so much in this industry.

Caten also shares perspective on balancing leadership, creativity and family, plus his advice for young creatives trying to break into the industry: follow up, jump in and start creating.
