There is a long history in our communities of understanding that education goes beyond what happens inside the classroom. It also means making sure our neighbors have what they need to thrive. 🖤

Every Wednesday, rain or shine, JRLA staff and scholars partner with forgottenharvest to distribute food to families throughout our community.

And our scholars don’t just participate. They serve. Last year alone, JRLA scholars contributed 1,103 volunteer hours to this work.

Because leadership isn’t only what you learn. It’s what you do for your community.
