It’s my birthday! 🎂 

37 today.

At 27, I thought being liked by everyone meant I was doing life right.

I wanted to keep everyone happy, avoid disappointing people, say yes when I meant no, and make choices that made sense to everyone else.

Ten years later, I care a lot less about pleasing everyone and I’m a lot happier for it.

37 feels calmer. Clearer. More like me.

If you’re in your 20s feeling like you need everyone’s approval, you really don’t.
