Apple uses sophisticated lab rigs to test its devices.

Huawei basically said: “Let’s take the phone to a rocket test stand.” 🚀📱

When you think about smartphone testing, you probably imagine a high-tech laboratory filled with specialized machines.

Drop tests.

Vibration tests.

Temperature chambers.

Pressure tests.

Machines designed to simulate the abuse a phone could experience during years of everyday use.

Apple is known for using highly controlled testing environments where engineers can precisely measure how its devices respond to different forces and conditions.

But Huawei has taken a much more dramatic approach in showcasing its own durability testing.

Instead of only relying on conventional smartphone testing equipment, Huawei has shown phones being tested in environments associated with aerospace and rocket testing.

And that makes sense when you think about what those facilities are designed to handle.

Rocket engines produce enormous levels of vibration, noise and mechanical stress.

A facility built to test aerospace hardware is designed to withstand conditions far beyond anything your phone normally experiences.

So putting a smartphone through such an environment creates a pretty brutal test.
