Are teens still working while school is out? 🍦🍴⛺️ 

35.5% of U.S. teens ages 16 to 19 have held a paying job for at least part of summer 2026 (averaged across June and July) according to our analysis of federal employment data. That’s up a bit from last summer’s 33.8% (averaged across June, July and August). 

The most common jobs among teens include food preparation/service and retail sales.
