It is almost that time of year again!! 🍢

Here is my projected 2026 win/loss record for the Florida State football team.

I will keep this pinned on my profile for the entire season. This is a pivotal year for head football coach Mike Norvell, after winning just seven games combined in the last two years. While I know that 8-4 is far from the standard at a place like Florida State, this is certainly better than finishing with a losing season yet again.

I believe that the Seminoles picked up a huge win against SMU before falling to Alabama on the road in a rematch. Then Doak Campbell Stadium will be too much to handle for the Virginia Cavaliers. I personally went back-and-forth with Louisville, and I think this Friday night road tilt will be too much to handle, where the Seminoles’ hot 4-1 start slows down. Unfortunately, arch-rival Miami gets the best of Florida State for third straight year. However, don’t get too worked up thinking the Seminoles will lose three in a row, this is an ideal opportunity for Coach Norvell to finally down the Clemson Tigers in what could be a squad searching for answers. Mike Norvell should not be afraid of a Bill O’ Brien and Boston College squad that could be one of the worst teams in the conference, where they win their first road contest since November 2023 (I can’t believe I’m saying this). NC State is a vastly different team in Tallahassee, and I am so thankful that the Seminoles don’t have a chance at another nightmare in Carter-Finley Stadium. Lastly, the squad from Gainesville comes to town after the 2024 game saw their players trying to plant the flag at midfield when they beat Florida State by multiple scores. The Seminoles also lost to the struggling Gators last year and didn’t become bowl eligible because of it.
