🍯 🍎 GIVEAWAY BELOW 🍎 🍯 
 
The High Holidays used to sneak up on me every year — I’d scramble for apples and honey the morning of and call it a tradition.
 
This year we actually used @pjlibrary’s free guide, A Time to Grow, and it changed the whole thing. The best part? Two of the guide’s activities happen to live on the same page — so “craft time” and “snack time” ended up being the same 10 minutes. My kids didn’t even notice they were learning why we eat apples and honey; they just wanted to eat the stamp. IYKYK. 
 
Then we got to the guide’s conversation-starter pages, and that’s the part that’s actually staying with me. I asked my kids what and who they want to grow into this year and got answers I wasn’t expecting — more honest than anything a craft could teach.
 
PJ Library sends free Jewish children’s books every month to kids 0–12 but they also build these incredible free holiday guides packed with recipes, blessings, conversation starters, and family activities. This one covers Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah.
