21-year-old Kevin Durant really became the youngest scoring champion in NBA history while sharing the league with PRIME LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki and more 😭🔥

KD averaged 30.1 PPG in 2009-10, edging out LeBron at 29.7, Melo at 28.2 and Kobe at 27.0. And this wasn’t some weak scoring era either — these were straight-up bucket getters in their primes, playing in a slower-paced, more physical NBA.

What makes it even crazier is that Durant was only in his third NBA season. At an age where most players are still figuring out how to become consistent starters, KD was already the best scorer on the planet. 6’10” with guard handles, a jumper nobody could contest, and the ability to score from literally anywhere on the floor.

People talk about KD’s longevity now, but sometimes you gotta remember how ridiculous the BEGINNING was too. Bro was competing with legends for scoring titles before he could even rent a car without extra fees 😭🐐
