𝑴𝒀 𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑬 𝑶𝑹 𝑫𝑰𝑬. ❤️

When my wife came into my life, she didn’t meet me at my best.

She met me in a hospital bed during one of the lowest points of my life.

I was broken, devastated, and trying to figure out how to put my life back together.

I didn’t have money, success, or some amazing life to offer her.

She just saw me.

She believed in me when I didn’t know how to believe in myself.

She loved me when I didn’t know how to love myself.

And I’ll never forget what that meant to me.

At the same time, I knew I had work to do.

I went to AA. I worked with a sponsor. I did the 12 steps. I started giving back and sharing my experience, strength, and hope with young people who were struggling.

Little by little, I started getting my life back.

And through all of it, she was there.

We met on Instagram in September 2021 and spent the first several months of our relationship long distance.

We talked every day. We FaceTimed constantly. We fell asleep on the phone together.

And every other month, one of us was getting on a plane to see the other.

We didn’t let the distance become an excuse. We made it work because we both wanted it to work.

By June 2022, we were finally building our life together under the same roof.

In May 2023, I married her. ❤️

So when I call this woman my ride or die, it’s not just some cute saying.

She knew me before the progress.

Before the growth.

Before the life we’re building now.

She believed in the man I could become before I could fully see him myself.

And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.
