I know “stay positive” sounds cliché as fuck when life is actually beating you down.

When the bills are piling up, relationships are falling apart, you’re questioning yourself, or you simply can’t see how things are going to get better—positive thinking alone isn’t going to magically fix your problems.

But your mindset determines what you do next.

If you constantly tell yourself you’re screwed, nothing ever works out, and life is against you, eventually you start living like you believe it.

The same thing happens in the other direction.

Start telling yourself you’ll figure it out.

Start looking for the lesson instead of only looking at the problem.

Start speaking about the life you’re trying to build instead of constantly speaking life into everything that’s going wrong.

Then back those thoughts up with action. 💯

You can’t control everything that happens to you.

But you can control the energy you bring into the situation, the decisions you make, and the person you choose to become because of it.

I’ve seen enough in my own life to believe that what you put into this world eventually finds its way back to you.

So protect your thoughts.
Watch your words.
Treat people right.
Put good energy into the world.
And keep moving forward even when life gives you every reason not to.
