## Caption

We’re currently developing this concept for clients looking to build a new house in the South Downs, drawn by the landscape and  a different kind of life outside London, with more space, closer to the land and with sustainability considered from the outset.

We’ve been looking at the simple forms of agricultural buildings across the Downs and at a palette of natural stone, oak and slate.

Rather than using stone simply as a decorative outer skin, we’re looking at whether the walls could once again be built as substantial masonry, using the material structurally
